Interns and Volunteers

SERI sometimes relies on interns and volunteers to assist with research, advocacy and litigation. Litigation interns must be able to commit to SERI on a full-time basis for longer than six months. We normally offer research internships of different durations, but we are unfortunately currently unable to accept new research interns or volunteers in the first half of 2013.

All internship and volunteer positions are unpaid.

Those interested in applying for a position in 2013, should send us an email detailing thematic interests and methodological (research or litigation) preference, as well as a CV/resumé.

Full-time litigation internship applications should be sent to Teboho Mosikili ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ), copied to Sanele Garane ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ). Please note: in 2013 we will only be considering litigation interns who are able to work with us on a full-time basis for longer than a six-month period.

Shorter research internship and volunteer position applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis (for positions starting after June 2013) and should be sent to Kate Tissington ( This email address is being protected from spambots.
