Litigation
SERI is a registered public interest law centre and Law Clinic, and our litigation department seeks to assist communities and social movements to develop legal agendas for change, which complement and reinforce their other activities, campaigns and strategies. Our practice attempts to address a broad range of strategic needs. These include litigation intended to challenge laws, policies and practices that exclude the poor and deepen poverty; litigation connected to ensuring that our clients have the space to articulate their claims freely and effectively, and providing some clinical assistance to individuals and communities. SERI aims to expand the capacity of civil society by seeking out cases and claims not normally brought or conceived of by other public interest law firms.
For further information on our litigation work and cases, please contact SERI attorneys Teboho Mosikili or Osmond Mngomezulu.
