Sandile Tshabalala joined SERI as a Research Intern in November 2015. He is a final year undergraduate student at the University of Cape Town, majoring in Law and English Literature.
At the University of Cape Town, he has been the Chairperson of the Humanities Students Council, member of the Institutional Forum and was part of the National Committee of Students for Law and Social Justice. He has recently completed a summer school course ‘Children at the Heart of Human Rights’ at the University of Geneva, Switzerland and interned with the South African delegation to the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
At SERI, Sandile will be assisting in writing a report for the Global Platform of the Right to the City meetings and the 2015 Africities Summit.
